About Event
A Death Race, testing the all-round performance of a bot in terms of robustness, power, speed and manoeuvrability. A timed event with faster and better bots proceeding to further rounds.
OBJECTIVE:
• The objective of this contest is to race with your competitors while avoiding the obstacles.
GENERAL RULES:
• All participants must bring their own Robots.
• All robots will have to pass an inspection prior to the competition.
• During the rounds, maximum of two members are allowed in the arena. One to control the bot and the other to guide it. However, teams are allowed to switch members in different rounds.
• It is mandatory for the participants to have an identity card of the institution they belong to.
• Readymade robots, toys or kits are not allowed.
• If the robot is stuck in an obstacle or moves out of the track, then the robot has to start from the last checkpoint.
EVENT ROUNDS
1. The race will consist of two rounds.
(a) An obstacle path which will test the sturdiness of the vehicle and presence of mind of the driver.
(b) A drag race which will test the speed and acceleration of the vehicle against another vehicle.
2) The track for the drag race will be a long straight path.
The obstacle path will be uneven and will consist of bends and curves
BOT SPECIFICATIONS
• The dimensions of the robot must not be more than (25x25x25) cm
• The vehicle can be wired or wireless robot.
• The power supplied should not be more than 12V at two points.
• DC Power supply should be used for the robots.
• For wireless mechanism the teams are advised to have a dual frequency remote control to prevent radio conflicts.
• Maximum weight of the robot should be 5 kg including the batteries. But they can make use of readymade gear assemblies. Violating this clause will lead to disqualification of the team.
